The Firbank Aquastars Swimming club offers four Race Nights each school term at the Firbank Senior School pool.  Race nights are an enjoyable way for younger swimmers to gain an introduction to the sport and practise racing in a relaxed, no pressure environment.  Events include both 25- and 50-metre options in each stroke and a single 100-metre event.  Please arrive by 5:45 pm to register for your chosen events; swimming starts promptly at 6 pm.  Entry is free to FAS swim club members; non-FAS swim club members are charged just $5 for up to 5 events.  Entrance is open to boys and girls of all ages and a gold coin donation sausage sizzle is available.

 

Points based on individual time improvement are accumulated for FAS club members and awards are given for placing each term.  The overall winner for all four school terms is awarded the Nick Findeisen Trophy for Overall race night point score champion.  All awards are announced at the annual FAS Awards Night.  A single FAS Open Club Championship event is also sometimes run as the first event at Race Night.
